Hillary’s Experience

“My two cents’ worth—and I think it is the two cents’ worth of everybody who worked for the Clinton Administration health care reform effort of 1993-1994—is that Hillary Rodham Clinton needs to be kept very far away from the White House for the rest of her life. Heading up health-care reform was the only major administrative job she has ever tried to do. And she was a complete flop at it. She had neither the grasp of policy substance, the managerial skills, nor the political smarts to do the job she was then given. And she wasn’t smart enough to realize that she was in over her head and had to get out of the Health Care Czar role quickly…. there is no reason to think that she would be anything but an abysmal president.”

For all this talk about Clinton’s superior Health Care system my understanding is that it will be a monopoly run by a non-government agency (rather like the IRS), be mandatory with government penalty if one does not buy (most uninsured do not buy because they do not have $$$ to buy, as Senator Obama pointed out in a debate). As I see it all existing Health Insurance companies will be put out of business in favor of her single-payer Universal plan which means a whole lot of lost jobs. No wonder why so many people are voting Republican in the primaries.

It also does not address the vets~especially the homeless ones~who are being denied their earned health care benefits. How is she going to penalize them? Perhaps she should have spent more time explaining herself and less bashing of everything Obama.
